JOHNDRE JEFFERSON
We bring you last week's top performances from Central Africans who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

Johndre Jefferson
Johndre Jefferson
#1. This week's number one is an international power forward Johndre Jefferson (207-88, agency: Inception Sports, college: S.Carolina, currently plays in ABA League). He could not help Cibona (0-3) in their last game. Despite Jefferson's very good performance Cibona was edged 86-84 at home by the higher-ranked (#9) Igokea. He was the second best scorer with 15 points. Jefferson also added 7 rebounds in 20 minutes on the court. So far Cibona lost all three games in the Regular Season. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. It's Jefferson's first year with the team. He has relatively good stats this season: 10.5ppg, 4.5rpg, 2FGP: 53.3% and FT: 71.4% in two games he played so far. Jefferson is a naturalized American. He is currently a member of the Central African senior national team. Strangely Jefferson has never played in Central Africa.

James Mays

#2. Second place goes to former international power forward James Mays (205-86, college: Clemson, currently plays in South Korea). He was not able to help LG Sakers (0-1) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Mays' very good performance LG Sakers were defeated 85-79 on the road by the higher-ranked KCC Egis (#3). He recorded a double-double by scoring 31 points and getting 12 rebounds. It was his first game for LG Sakers this season. But the season just started, so everything may happen. Mays is a naturalized American. He played for the Central African national team in 2013. Apparently Mays has never played in Central Africa.

Max Kouguere
Max Kouguere
#3. The Central African player who performed third best last week abroad was an international small forward Max Kouguere (198-87, currently plays in France). He was not able to secure a victory for Olympique Antibes (1-4) in their last game. Despite Kouguere's good performance Olympique Antibes lost 87-98 in Le Portel to the much higher-ranked (#6) Le Portel. He scored 10 points in 27 minutes. It was Olympique Antibes' fourth consecutive loss in a row. But the season is still in it's first stage and everything can happen. This year Kouguere averages: 5.4ppg, 1.4rpg, 2FGP: 25.0%, 3FGP: 46.7%(7-15) in five games. He has a dual citizenship: Congolese and Central African. Kouguere is also a member of the Central African senior national team.

Jimmy Djimrabaye
Jimmy Djimrabaye
#4. Power forward Jimmy Djimrabaye (202-92, currently plays in France) couldn't help Quimper UJAP (0-1) in their last game on Saturday. Despite his very good performance Quimper UJAP was defeated 70-65 in Nancy by the much higher-ranked Sluc (#4). Djimrabaye was the second best scorer with 16 points. It was his first game for Quimper UJAP this season. But there are still lots of games to play and it's a long way to go. Djimrabaye is also Central African national team player.
